This training programme and qualification is applicable to a range of care settings and roles and will be ideal for support workers, domiciliary and residential care workers, health care assistants and unpaid and voluntary carers. The Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care training course meets all the requirements of the Common Induction Standards and the National Minimum Training Standards.

The Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care Training Course (Level 2 or 3 RQF (QCF)) will form part of the apprenticeship framework for this sector. It is ideal for learners who have just started to work, or would like to work, with adults in a wide range of health and social care settings. The Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care training course (RQF (QCF)) aims to develop learners’ knowledge of a variety of topics which are fundamental to working in adult social care including; the importance of communication, personal development, equality, diversity and inclusion, health and safety, safeguarding, duty of care and implementing person-centred approaches towards care.

Course Content

Our distance learning Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care training programme for the Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care RQF (QCF) qualification comprises nine workbooks, which contain activities and assessments designed to cover the specific learning outcomes.

Delivery & Assessment

Learners on our distance learning courses are supported throughout the course by expert tutors to enable successful completion so that learners are awarded the Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care Level 2 Certificate. Learners will be provided with all necessary workbooks to complete the programme and will be required to work through a series of tasks and activities designed to reinforce and test their knowledge.

By undertaking this training programme via distance learner, successful learners are on the first path to a career within the health and social care sector. Learners can choose to progress on to further specialist qualifications related to the setting in which they work or the RQF (QCF) Level 2 Diplomas or Certificates.

Common Induction Standards

The Common Induction Standards can be completed by enrolling on our Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care RQF (QCF) qualification either a Level 2 or 3.
