Our Buccal Midazolam and Rescue Medication Administration course is open to practising healthcare professionals and support workers. It has been designed to help those looking after people with epilepsy who have prolonged or cluster seizures, to provide the best quality care.
Our course helps to ensure those who attend have the necessary skills to safely administer rescue medication, whether this be at home, within a care home setting or a hospital.
Please note, that the course is not open to individuals. We operate on an organisational basis, providing training to groups of employees from a specific place of work.
We operate in this way so that we can offer course content and training that is fully bespoke to the needs of your employees, patients / service users as well as in line with local policies and procedures on the management of prolonged and clustered seizures in epilepsy.
If you require advice on which epilepsy course option will meet the unique individual and service requirements of your organisation, get in touch with a member of our expert team. They will be able to talk through your options with you and provide specialist recommendations.
We will also provide the necessary competency proformas required to ensure safe and evidenced-based clinical practice following completion of our training courses. This will then allow the Registered Provider to ensure mandatory competency assessments are completed within the workplace by a nominated mentor/supervisor.
If you need further advice regarding competency assessments or if you would like our Registered Nurse Trainers to provide onsite competency assessments, then please do not hesitate to contact us.
