
Loss and Bereavement Training
This course offers guidance on coping with loss and the process of grieving. It will benefit delegates who may have contact with the bereaved, or need to cope with the loss of a person for whom they have cared.
PEG Feed Training – Gastrostomy enteral feeding tubes are used for patients with enteral nutrition needs. Our gastrostomy feed training course will familiarise health and social care workers with the essential knowledge, understanding and skill to be able to provide evidenced-based safe care for individuals with a gastrostomy.
Our gastrostomy feeding training course will consider the reason and methods of gastrostomy Feeding, including bolus and continuous infusion pump feeding, PEG feeding training, as well as medication administration techniques, daily and weekly gastrostomy care requirements, troubleshooting and potential complications.
The Gastrostomy Feeding and PEG Tube Care course has been designed for any staff member who supports an individual with a gastrostomy, ensuring they have sufficient knowledge to work safely with them and provide “SAFE” care. In order to ensure this, the course will be delivered by our expert healthcare educators and will be specifically suited to the needs of your organisation and service users.
Please note: The Gastrostomy Feeding and Tube Care training course includes a practical session – we will supply a gastrostomy machine for enteral feeding (Nutricia Flocare Infinity) and all associated equipment for staff to use, however if you have a specific machine you require training on you will need to provide access to it for the duration of the course.

On completion of the Gastrostomy Feeding and Tube Care course, we will provide the necessary competency proformas required to ensure safe and evidence-based clinical practice. This will then allow the Registered Provider to ensure mandatory competency assessments are completed within the workplace by a nominated mentor/supervisor.

The enteral tube feeding is a means of administering all or part of a person’s nutritional needs when they are no longer able to take adequate amounts orally. An enteral feeding tube is a tube that is specially designed to give you nutrition (food) and fluid in a liquid form.
PEG feed course is aimed at healthcare professionals and social care workers that are responsible for supporting individuals with their PEG requirements and complex care and want to formalise and improve their knowledge and skills. These courses will usually cover procedures for feeding, administration of medicines and understand the PEG tube.
Our PEG feeding training has been designed to familiarise participants with the cause and approaches of PEG feeding training course. It is aimed at carers and community support workers that frequently work with people who required PEG Feeding.
