Adrenal Crisis Treatment Training
Our course covers all fundamental information surrounding Addison’s disease: its causes, symptoms, treatments, prevention as well as what to do if someone has an Adrenal Crisis.
When a patient is unable to accept drugs orally, it is often necessary to use a syringe driver. Syringe drivers allow medication to be administered to patients subcutaneously over a selected time period. Our Syringe Driver Training & Awareness course has been designed with professional healthcare workers in mind, delivering comprehensive theoretical and practical teachings on the safe use and handling of syringe drivers (specifically the McKinley T34).
This course is primarily for healthcare staff and will provide attending delegates with a solid understanding of the use and operation of syringe drivers, commonly used drugs, maintenance and more. Delivered by practicing healthcare educators, the Syringe Driver Training and Awareness course is up to date with all best practices, helping to ensure your staff comply with current legislation and guidance.
We are also able to provide bespoke syringe driver training solutions, in accordance with the needs and service requirements of your organisation.
The comprehensive range of topics covered means that our Syringe Driver Training and Awareness course doesn’t just cover the essentials in terms of knowledge and understanding but, also allows nurses to familiarise themselves with the practical usage required to safely operate a syringe driver.
Following completion of the Syringe Driver Training and Awareness course, we will provide the necessary competency proformas required to ensure safe and evidenced-based clinical practice. This will then allow the Registered Provider to ensure mandatory competency assessments are completed within the workplace by a nominated mentor/supervisor.
If you need further advice regarding competency assessments, or would like one of our Registered Nurse Trainers to provide onsite competency assessments then please do not hesitate to contact us.
