Stroke Awareness Training
Our Stroke Awareness Training course has been designed to communicate the most important teachings of all on the subject of stroke causes, effects, risk factors, symptoms and prognosis.
We have two autism awareness courses available. First is our blended learning Autism Awareness Training Course, which is ideal for anyone who wants to learn more about autism and develop a better understanding.
Secondly, our Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism and Autism Spectrum Conditions qualification gives you the certification you need to expand your career horizons or demonstrate your knowledge of ASD.
Because ASD is so common, it’s likely that you’ll encounter people with some form of autism at any point in your life and career. If you understand how to be more inclusive, and can communicate well, it’s mutually beneficial for you and people with ASD.
Multiple sectors can benefit from Autism Awareness training, including:
Something as simple as making an environment welcoming for someone from ASD can improve their productivity, as well as them feeling much more comfortable. This helps young people during their education, throughout their careers, and when they need care later in life.
Although the delivery of the courses will be slightly different, both follow a similar syllabus. Here’s what you and your team will explore:
As with all of our health and social care training courses, we can tailor the modules to better suit individuals or teams.
All of our courses are taught by practicing health and social care professionals. Their knowledge can be used to answer any of your questions, and they’ll always provide insight and resources that are the most relevant to you. For example, if you work in care, they’ll prioritise education surrounding people with more severe ASD who require care, and explain the best approaches that you can then apply in your role.
The best autism course out of the two we provide depends on what you need it for. As we mentioned, one grants you a level 2 certificate that will look great on your CV, while the other is more of a general training course for people who don’t necessarily need a specific certificate.
The Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism and Autism Spectrum Conditions Training Course is a little more nuanced, so let’s explain how it works in more detail.
The accreditation for this course can be provided by either the Highfield Level 2 Certificate in Introduction to Autistic Spectrum Conditions or the iCQ Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism. Both carry plenty of weight, and will benefit you in your role. It also opens up avenues for more advanced Level 3 courses, which can be used to supplement supervisory or managerial roles in the future.
Both of our courses are split into two parts. First are E-Learning modules, which equip you with knowledge for the following live training session, which can be completed online or in-person.
This course is recommended for organisations. If your team works with people with ASD, it’s vital that they all have the knowledge and skills to support them. This is especially important in education or healthcare, where every student or patient requires a unique approach to their care.
Upon completion of either of our Autism Awareness Training Courses, learners will understand:
Because we focus on blended learning, with a mix of theory, practical, and real-world case studies, everyone can benefit from our courses.
If your organisation is eligible for LDSS funding, we strongly recommend enrolling learners onto the Level 2 RQF Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) qualification, as this programme is fully funded through the Learning and Development Support Scheme (LDSS).
While completing the Autism training course with Guardian Angels certification provides the same practical benefits for workforce development and improving outcomes for people who use services, the course without the RQF qualification is ineligible for LDSS funding.
For organisations that can access LDSS funding, we therefore recommend adding the RQF ASD qualification as a bolt-on to the training course, ensuring you receive the same high-quality training while also benefiting from fully funded accredited learning.
Our Stroke Awareness Training course has been designed to communicate the most important teachings of all on the subject of stroke causes, effects, risk factors, symptoms and prognosis.
This course is aimed at raising awareness of the importance of Safeguarding Vulnerable People.
Delegates completing this course will be in a better position to implement their company protection policy and the procedures they should follow.
There are over a million people living with dementia in the UK, with that number increasing each year. People with dementia may require regular visits from a nurse or carer, and in many cases, they move into a dementia care home or unit for access to around-the-clock care and support.
Our training course, Safeguarding under the Care Act (2014) offers the opportunity for either a half day or full day training exploring the key changes to safeguarding under the Care Act (2014).
