The Care Act - a training course that considers implementation and changes to social care


The Care Act 2014 introduces new responsibilities and implications for local authorities, safeguarding boards, adult care providers, people who use services, carers and their advocates. It is the most significant change to social care in over 60 years. The Care Act 2014 consolidates all existing care and support legislation into a single legal framework known as the Care Act 2014. It aims to create a care and support system based on well-being, needs and goals.

The Care Act further sets out new rights for carers, puts an emphasis on prevention rather than cure, and introduces a national eligibility threshold for care and support.

Here at Guardian Angels Training our social care experts have developed a training course that will help Local Authorises, Safeguarding Boards, and Registered Care Providers alike to understanding the responsibilities and consider their approach to the Care Act implementation and changes to their practice.
