It also provides practical guidance about diabetes diagnosis, initial and ongoing care and controlling blood-sugar levels, successful learners will be awarded the Level 2 Certificate in Understanding the Care and Management of Diabetes (RQF (QCF)) upon completion of the diabetes care training course.
Course Content
The RQF (QCF) Level 2 Certificate in Understanding the Care and Management of Diabetes comprises four mandatory units presented in two concise module workbooks:
- Unit 01: Understand diabetes (Credit value: 4) (T/505/1143)
- Unit 02: Prevention and early intervention of Type 2 diabetes (Credit value: 3) (A/505/1144)
- Unit 03: Understand the initial care of diabetes (Credit value: 4) (R/505/1148)
- Unit 04: Understand the treatment and management of diabetes (Credit value: 5) (L/505/1147)
Course delivery and assessment
This diabetes care training distance learning course comprises of activity workbooks and an assessment. Like most of our distance learning health and social care training courses the assessment will allow the learners to demonstrate achievement of all learning outcomes associated with each unit of the Certificate in Understanding the Care and Management of Diabetes – RQF (QCF) Level 2 and is available as a printed booklet or can be completed online.
