
Person Centred Care Training
The course considers whole person care and the influences that shape a person’s values along with the core principles that are fundamental to good care planning.
Built in accordance with the Health and Social Care National Occupation Standards approved by Skills for Care and Development, this Guardian Angels Training RQF (QCF) Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3 gives current industry workers the opportunity to enhance their performance and prospects with a nationally recognised qualification.
The course has been designed to both instil and confirm a higher level of knowledge in employed professionals already working in health and social care settings including; assisted living environments, domiciliary services, primary care environments and residential settings.
In order to pass the course and receive full certification, delegates must complete a series of optional units along with nine mandatory units, scoring a total of at least 58 credits from the 18 units studied.
Mandatory Units
Delegates will also be required to complete a number of optional knowledge and competence units which vary in accordance with their own working area – examples include supported living, infection control, working with adults with learning disabilities, dementia care and more. There will also be the choice of studying toward a focused qualification in a specific area like learning disability assessment or to choose a general health and social care pathway.
Candidates are assessed in accordance with a final portfolio of evidence, their work-based performance, feedback gathered from witnesses and by way of a series of monitored and measured questions. Only when the delegate has demonstrated full and accurate knowledge of the course materials will they be credited with the award.
A RQF (QCF) Diploma assessor will assist each candidate in the preparation of materials prior to the final assessment taking place. There will also be the option of telephone and email support throughout the course to be used by delegates as and when required.
In order to qualify for our RQF (QCF) Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3, delegates must already be working in a relevant area of health and social care. However, no specific qualifications are required and there are no other restrictions such as age or experience.
On completion of this program delegates are able to progress on RQF (QCF) Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 5.

This specialist dementia care training course is designed to help health and social care staff working in generic care settings or dementia units to develop their knowledge and understanding of dementia and the principles of caring for people with dementia.
