This award is a knowledge-only unit for those IV’s and IQA’s who need the knowledge and understanding of internal quality assurance but who are not expected to practice solely as an internal verifier.
This IQA qualification is for Internal Verifiers and Practitioners who conduct internal quality assurance (Internal verification) of the assessment process from within a training centre or organisation (college).
For internal verifier practitioners who are expected to lead and manage the internal quality assurance (IQA) process and have a responsibility for managing the quality of the assessments and the performance of assessors.
Trainee internal verifiers and internal quality assurance practitioners are required to demonstrate their knowledge, understanding and relevant IV / IQA skills to be awarded with their respective internal verifier qualification. Depending upon the IV / IQA qualification chosen, the trainee IV may also be expected to carry out a minimum four assessments on your two assessor candidates.
