You learn a lot simply by doing your job well, and coordinating with your team to share knowledge and develop your skills. However, this doesn’t always help with career progression.
Receiving the proper qualifications from training courses ensures your skills are up to date, but also sets you up for later opportunities. If you’re keen to broaden your horizons, or ensure that you and your team are providing the best care possible, our Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Adult Care is one of the best courses for you.
Our Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Adult Care Training Course
The Leadership & Management for Adult Care training we provide is a great opportunity to increase your knowledge and understanding of advanced health and social care practice or management skills specific to adult care, at the same time as increasing your earnings and career opportunities.
Leadership is one of the most important skills for health and social care professionals, but it is something that can’t always be learned on the job. If you’re responsible for people, quality, compliance, and outcomes, this qualification supports you to develop real-world leadership and management competence, grounded in workplace practice and assessed through evidence you generate in your role.
You’ll develop skills in:
Leading and managing adult social care services and teams
Governance, regulation, inspection readiness, and improvement planning
Safeguarding leadership, consent, mental capacity, and restrictive practice decision-making
Resource management: people, finance, physical resources, and sustainability
Communication, partnership working, supervision, and workforce development
As with all our courses, this diploma follows the OFQUAL RQF qualification framework, which helps with recognition, and shows potential employers your skill level and competency at a glance.
This qualification may be eligible for funded support for eligible employers/providers. If you’re unsure, contact us and we’ll talk you through your options.

Many advanced training courses are too generic. They provide useful information, but lack the personalisation that benefits individual learners. Based on your role we can adapt the way you learn, and you have full control over the process as well.
Although this is an assessment based course, you’ll still receive support throughout. Your qualified assessor will help you to plan your evidence and build a strong portfolio.
You’ll have access to this support via 1:1 video calls, phone calls, and email. Feedback will be provided on a regular basis via progress reviews and more informal pointers if the assessor thinks you’re off track. They will also discuss how best to use this diploma for career progression, a rare bonus from a training course of this nature.
Assessment for Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Adult Care
This is a competence-based qualification assessed through a portfolio of evidence that demonstrates your knowledge and leadership in practice. This evidence will be assessed and internally quality assured, with external quality support in place as part of quality assurance arrangements.
The evidence you provide can include:
- Workplace documents (redacted), plans, audits, reflections, meeting notes
- Observations, professional discussions, witness testimonies
- Improvement projects and action plans linked to service outcomes
By collecting this evidence and presenting it, you show more competency within your role. Assessment of yourself and your team is crucial for leadership, so we ensure that you learn how best to apply it.
