Course Description
Our Epilepsy Awareness course introduces delegates to the essential basics of epilepsy as a neurological condition. The training course covers its causes, symptoms and how to properly approach and manage epileptic seizures.
Each case of epilepsy is to a large extent unique. Some individuals suffer seizures on a regular basis whilst others may never have faced the distress of a single seizure. Epilepsy care can therefore differ greatly from patient to patient. A comprehensive overview of the condition helps to ensure all patients are safely and effectively cared for. Our Epilepsy Awareness course is ideal for this purpose.
Professional care for epilepsy demands a proactive attitude in order to prevent injuries during seizures and offer the most appropriate assistance before, during and after any such episodes. The Epilepsy Awareness course lasts between 3 and 6 hours depending on the needs and requirements of your organisation.

We will also provide the necessary competency proformas required to ensure safe and evidenced-based clinical practice following completion of the Epilepsy Awareness training course. This will then allow the Registered Provider to ensure mandatory competency assessments are completed within the workplace by a nominated mentor/supervisor.
